Location: kimberly, South Africa

The new School services the Roodepan community in Kimberly and was completed in 18 months. The school is gazetted “Large School” as per the Department of Education Norms and standards. 

The School has 25 classrooms, an admin Block, School Hall, Science Labs, Nutrition center for the government-feeding program, and sports facilities. 

The School was implemented for the department of education under the IDT programme. 
The Project was completed in December 2015 and as of February 2016, the school has been occupied.

The instruction from department of education was to make the school as maintenance free as possible and as such a directive was issued to pave the entire school as the area has water supply challenges. A program is to be initiated to collect all the stormwater run off for irrigation of the sports field.
