Location: Mankweng, Limpopo

Nested in the heart of the community of Mankweng, this social and recreational facility includes a two-sided sports pavilion that caters for both soccer/rugby and softball fields flanked on either side of it. Other sporting codes include tennis, basketball, netball, an eight lane running track, and long jump. The facility is also intended to accommodate other events such as music concerts, community meetings, etc.

This project incorporated a unique concept of a double-sided pavilion. It caters for Player’s change rooms and administrative offices at the lower level. The top floor houses VIPs and ablution facilities. The seated capacity of the Full pavilion is 1800persons. Raked seating is to be provided along the boundary fence to accommodate 6000 persons. During events such as music concerts, the venue can accommodate up to 30,000 persons by using the sports grounds.

The full scope of this project includes other facilities as the caretaker’s house, ablution facilities, 16 ticketing booths, a guard House, a venue operating center, broadcasting facilities, etc.
