Set to be one of the largest social Housing development in Gauteng, the Project consists of 1072 units split between 2 bedroomed units, bachelor units and 3 bed units in a s 3 storey configuration.
To be a successful project in social housing, the design team has to place a large emphasis on the capital cost, maintenance and running costs and responsiveness to a market studies. Amenities include a crèche, sports facilities, a clubhouse and security measures. A traffic study was conducted and public consultations initiated to get community buy in.
A lot of thought has to be placed in the choice of materials and the spatial planning of the units. The Project is set to commence sometime in 2018 for a period of 36 months.
